Man's Best Friend
Here is Theo, post nap, showing his affection for his best buddy, Dougie Dog (a gift from Fun Aunt Jess), and his general enthusiasm for being awake. Sorry for the upside-down camera work.

Giggle Lights & Snickerdoodles
The funny part about this is that Theo was staring at the kitchen lights, laughing hysterically for a long time before this video started. I tried to prolong it for the camera by bouncing him, etc., but it was originally just looking up at the lights that somehow set him off.
Please note the fresh-baked snickerdoodles. I'd like Super Mom credit for baking those. Thank you.

Cracker Talk
Not the most action-packed of videos. But an interesting monologue on Wheat Crisps, I am sure, if you speak Theo's language.

Father's Day Weekend Highlights
Highlights of John's First Father's Day Weekend, according to Theo:
1. Watching cartoons in bed with Dad.
2. TV shopping at Best Buy.
3. Licking the blinker-buzzer number thing at Panera.
4. Hanging out in the new hammock chair with Dad.
5. Brunch at Adam's.
6. Taking a looooong nap so Dad could watch the US Open.
7. Wearing my tough guy shirts -- Dad Tat from Pete & Ayse, iRock from Jess, and Rolling Stones '81 Tour--that was some show, man.
8. Finally some sunshine!

Old Skool
Thanks Gram-E for the Postal Station (aka Mail Box)! We haven't figured out if the pieces have lead paint yet, but we're working on it. I did notice some teeth marks on them, so someone (John) may have already gotten all the good lead bits off 30 years ago. And now Theo can learn how to spell SKOOL, which is nice.

Father's Day Smilebox Test
Make a Smilebox free ecard |
I am experimenting here--Smilebox now has a Mac version, and you can publish your e-cards to your blog. So I am trying this out with a father's day card I made.
PS If you go to Smilebox and search for Pinkerton, you'll get all my designs in one spot.

Circus Circus
Today we went to a used toy store. I, uh I mean Theo, just had to have this! The elephant trunk holds a Little People Person! I had to resist the Little People Farm and the School Bus (mean freckled kid and all!), because the price told me someone else realized the value, too. (Mom & Dad-- do we still have that airport?!) A quick online search let me know that what looks like a train conductor is actually a mailman. Oh well. Apparently new Fisher Price Little People are bigger and not round, and therefore harder to choke on. So lame. We will just have to keep these for ourselves until Theo's a little bigger.
