All the moms and the babes. Quick- drop your kid, run, and take a photo! My contribution - cupcakes with #1's. I am sure the babies appreciated that I used Barefoot Contessa mix from Crate & Barrel.
Theo and I pretending Jill's beautiful kitchen is our own.
Today was our group 1st Birthday Party - since all the babies were born in July & August last year. Theo was good-not a cry the whole time. Seems that his freak out phase was just that, a phase, thank goodness. Although he seemed most interested in being by himself on Jill & Murray's deck, inspecting the water faucet, the magnet that holds the door open, the screws in the deck, typical birthday party stuff. Only 5 weeks away from his actual first birthday!

Happy Birthday John!
Theo & John right after their birthday dance party -- they were rocking out to one of John's new CDs. Theo has moved from just subtly bopping his head to standing and boogie-ing. Here he is pretending he is not tired and it's not past bed time.
P.S. For the record, at 35, John is:
- eating turkey sandwiches
- marketing Windows Mobile (TM) phones
- learning to play the guitar
- drinking Gatorade
- excited about his new plasma TV arriving
- hardly ever barfing

Cute Photo of the Day
I am feeling really guilty for not blogging lately. Mostly this is due to being busy with real life (and the fact that 50% of my audience was here for the live version of Daily Life with Theo), partly due to discovering Facebook and having another online diversion besides this blog. But I'm getting over that. We've got lots of photos to upload, but for now this cute one of Theo and his latest piece of Microsoft promo gear will have to do.

10 Months, For the Record
At the ripe old age of 10 months, Theo is:
- devouring Cheerios, Mum-Mums, mango and other juicy fruits, Yo-Baby yogurt, sweet potato
- starting to eat turkey, chicken, meat loaf, risotto
- trying to hold his sippy cup but not his bottle
- waving when we say hi, sometimes
- crawling for about 4 feet, then switching to his belly
- moving from one piece of furniture to the next, standing
- sitting down pretty gracefully
- still falling over sometimes
- starting to understand playing and doing things to be funny
- adding "ooh" and "oh" to his mama-dada-doy-doy-b-b-b-b-b-b vocabulary
- taking 2 naps, usually, sometimes the second one is short or doesn't happen
- sleeping from about 8 pm- 7 am
- snuggling up with Dougie Dog in his crib
- pushing the buttons on his crib mobile
- LOVING the TV/stereo etc, the phone, alarm clock, timer anything with lights and beeps
- LOVING his board books, playing "catch" with a rolling tennis ball and John's guitar
- panting like a dog, twirling his right hand and kicking his legs when something is exciting
- climbing up everything
- laughing at his own pictures on the digital picture frame
- still wary of strangers, but getting better
- still barfing
